1. Agreement to Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Browsely (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. About Browsely

Browsely is a browser extension and related site that helps you summarize, analyze, and interact with web content using AI models. The Service includes the extension, website, APIs, and any related software, content, or documentation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if higher. If you use the Service on behalf of an entity, you represent you have authority to bind that entity.

4. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding credentials.
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

  • Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and features are shown at checkout.
  • If offered, free trials convert to paid at the end of the trial unless you cancel before renewal.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel any time, effective at the end of the current term.
  • Taxes may apply. We may change prices with prior notice for the next term.
  • Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

6. License and Access

  • We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the extension and site for your personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms.
  • We may update, modify, or discontinue the Service at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Violate laws, third-party rights, site terms, or robots.txt of pages you process.
  • Upload or process unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing, or personal data without a lawful basis.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass security or rate limits, or interfere with the Service.
  • Use Outputs to mislead, commit fraud, or for high-risk uses (medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions) without qualified human review.
  • Resell, sublicense, or bulk-export Outputs in a way that circumvents our or model providers’ usage limits.

We may enforce limits or suspend accounts for suspected abuse.

8. Your Content and Data

  • User Content. You retain ownership of content you submit or select with the extension.
  • License to Operate. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, cache, analyze, and display User Content and to generate, store, and deliver Outputs to provide and improve the Service.
  • Feedback. If you give feedback, we may use it without restriction or compensation.

9. AI Models and Outputs

  • Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Verify important information.
  • We do not guarantee uniqueness or non-infringement of Outputs. Others may receive similar outputs.
  • Do not rely on the Service for professional advice or emergency situations.

10. Third-Party Services

  • The Service may route data to third-party AI and cloud providers. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services.
  • Links to third-party sites are provided “as is.” We are not responsible for their content or policies.

11. Privacy

Your use is subject to our Privacy Policy available on the site. It explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it, including GDPR disclosures. Do not submit special-category data unless the Privacy Policy permits and you have a lawful basis.

12. Intellectual Property

  • We and our licensors own the Service and all related IP.
  • These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Service or underlying models to you.
  • Open-source components are provided under their respective licenses.

13. Store Terms

If you obtained the extension from a browser store (e.g., Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons), you must also comply with that store’s terms and policies.

14. Beta and Experimental Features

Some features may be labeled alpha, beta, or experimental. They may be unstable, change quickly, or be withdrawn. Use at your own risk.

15. Service Availability and Support

The Service is provided without any uptime, support, or feature commitments unless stated in a separate written agreement.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service or cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, cause risk, or for business reasons. Upon termination, your license ends and you must stop using the Service.

17. Disclaimers

The Service and Outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. You use the Service at your own risk.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.
  • Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of €50 or the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; those limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

19. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

20. Export and Sanctions

You must comply with applicable export control, sanctions, and trade laws. You may not use the Service where prohibited or for prohibited end uses.

21. Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., on the site or by email). Updated Terms take effect when posted, or on the stated effective date. Continued use means you accept the changes.

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
  • Courts of Amsterdam have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
  • Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s ODR platform where applicable.

23. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement. These Terms and any referenced policies are the entire agreement.
  • Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • Assignment. You may not assign without our consent. We may assign to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
  • No Waiver. Failure to enforce is not a waiver.
  • Force Majeure. We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control.
